Cookie Policy

Effective Date: April 1, 2026 | Last Updated: April 1, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how EON Platform ("EON," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you access or use our website and platform (collectively, the "Services"). This Cookie Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, which provides additional information about how we collect and process personal data.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to provide a better user experience, and to provide information to the owners of the site. Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by third parties whose content or services are embedded in the website ("third-party cookies").

In addition to cookies, we may use other similar technologies, including:

  • Local Storage: Data stored in your browser's local storage that persists across browser sessions and is used to store user preferences and application state.
  • Session Storage: Data stored in your browser that is cleared when the browser tab is closed, used for temporary session data.
  • Pixels / Web Beacons: Small, transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that track whether a page has been viewed or an email has been opened.

References to "cookies" in this policy include all of the above technologies unless otherwise specified.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary (Essential) Cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our Services and cannot be disabled. They enable core functionality such as authentication, session management, and security. Without these cookies, the Services cannot function properly.

3.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Services by collecting and reporting information about usage patterns. The data collected is aggregated and anonymized where possible. We use this information to improve the performance and usability of our platform.

If we implement third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar platforms), this section will be updated to include specific cookie names, providers, purposes, and retention periods. As of this policy's effective date, we may collect basic usage analytics using server-side logging, which does not rely on client-side cookies.

3.4 Marketing / Advertising Cookies

As of the effective date of this policy, EON Platform does not use marketing or advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies. We do not serve advertisements on our platform, and we do not track your activity across third-party websites. If we introduce marketing cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and obtain your consent where required by law.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Our Services may include content or functionality provided by third parties that may set cookies on your device. These third parties include:

  • Payment Processors: If you access payment-related features, our third-party payment processor may set cookies necessary for processing payments securely. These cookies are governed by the payment processor's own cookie and privacy policies.
  • CDN and Infrastructure Providers: Our hosting and content delivery providers may set technical cookies for load balancing, security, and performance optimization. These are generally classified as strictly necessary cookies.

We do not control the cookies set by third parties and are not responsible for their content or data practices. We encourage you to review the cookie and privacy policies of any third-party services that set cookies through our platform.

5. How to Manage and Disable Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies:

5.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically configure your browser to block all cookies, block third-party cookies, accept all cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser. The method for managing cookies varies by browser. Below are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:

Important: If you block or delete essential cookies (listed in Section 3.1), you will not be able to log in to or use the EON Platform. The authentication system requires cookies to maintain your session.

5.2 Local Storage and Session Storage

Local storage and session storage data can be cleared through your browser's developer tools or settings. In most browsers, you can clear site data by navigating to your browser's privacy or site settings, selecting the EON Platform domain, and choosing to clear or delete stored data. Clearing local storage will reset your preferences, and clearing session storage will discard any unsaved draft data.

5.3 Do Not Track

Some web browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") signal to the websites and other online services with which the browser communicates. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. As of the effective date of this policy, we do not respond to DNT signals. However, because we do not use marketing or advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, no tracking adjustment is necessary in response to a DNT signal.

5.4 Global Privacy Control

We recognize the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") signal as a valid opt-out-of-sale/sharing request under the California Consumer Privacy Act (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.135(e)). Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes, receipt of a GPC signal does not require any change in our data processing practices. However, we honor GPC signals as an expression of your privacy preference.

6. Cookie Consent

Under applicable law, certain cookies may require your consent before they are placed on your device. Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the basic operation of the Services, do not require consent and cannot be disabled through a consent mechanism.

For non-essential cookies (analytics, functional, and marketing cookies), we will obtain your consent where required by applicable law before placing such cookies on your device. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences through our cookie settings or by modifying your browser settings as described in Section 5.

7. Data Collected Through Cookies

The information collected through cookies and similar technologies may include:

  • Session identifiers (encrypted, not personally identifiable)
  • CSRF tokens (security tokens, not personally identifiable)
  • UI preference settings (e.g., sidebar state, view mode)
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited and features used
  • Timestamps and session duration

This information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Essential cookie data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest (the provision of a functional and secure service). Analytics cookie data, when collected, is processed based on your consent.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, changes in our practices, or changes in applicable law. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on our website with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically.
